This workshop is open to all and introduces the fundamentals of both Cuban guitar and the Cuban tres. Participants will explore the essence of Cuban music, focusing on the crucial role of montunos and the foundation of syncopation, a key element in Cuban son. We will also cover clave rhythms, basic chord progressions, and how these elements shape the unique sound of Cuban music. Through sound examples, audiovisuals, and hands-on sessions, participants will gain practical experience in these foundational techniques. Whether you're new to Cuban music or looking to refine your skills, this workshop offers a solid foundation in both guitar and tres.
